➳ JESS AND JAKE | REAL WEDDING THE ROCKS YANDINA {LINDY PHOTOGRAPHY}

SUNSHINE COAST WEDDING THE ROCKS VENUE PHOTOGRAPHER
"We planned our whole destination Wedding over email and the vendors didn't miss a single detail! Everything just fell into place perfectly." Jess + Jake

Meeting at the Multi Cultural Festival in Canberra through an introduction by Jake's Aunt, Jess & Jake were together two and half years before the proposal. Due to the natural disasters in Bali, their original plan of marrying in there, their destination Wedding plan moved to the beautiful Sunshine Coast at The Rocks Yandina.

➳Tell us about the proposal: We were in Bali with Jakes family. We had all gone out for dinner and Jake had planned for me to go and have my nails done with his mum (how thoughtful). Whilst we were doing that, he picked up the ring from his mums hotel and when we came back to our villa, there were rose petals on the bed and Jake asked me to marry him.

➳ What led you to decide on your Wedding venue? We were originally going to get married in Bali, but due to all the natural disasters which were happening we decided against. I wanted to have a destination wedding and I wanted warm weather and an outdoor location for the reception so we decided on The Rocks.

➳ What was the inspiration behind your Wedding theme? We just wanted a super chilled wedding and went with a vintage/boho kind of style.

➳ Your most favourite moment/s of the day: All of it, I can’t choose! It definitely helped having great vendors that had worked together plenty of times before and everything just fell into place perfectly. We had planned our whole Wedding over email and there wasn’t one detail that was missed!

➳ What was your favourite details about the day? I really loved the decorations and florals. The Rocks did all the decorations and some of the florals and Naturelle Floral Design did our bouquets and button holes. Highly recommend Sweet P Ccakes and Cookies, we had a white chocolate and raspberry mudcake and carrot cake and everyone loved it!

➳ How long did it take for you to find and how was your dress/suit shopping experience overall? I had actually bought my dress 2 years before the Wedding for our Bali Wedding we were going to have. 3 weeks prior to our Sunshine Coast Wedding, I had my dress altered and it fit perfectly, then the week before the Wedding I tried my dress on and it was too big and unable to be further altered so the week before my Wedding I was on the hunt for a new dress. Thankfully I found a brand new dress from White Runway on their marketplace and it fit perfectly! The boys got their suits from YD and shopping for them was fairly easy.

➳ What does marriage mean to you? Making a commitment to your best friend and being there for one another through the good and bad times but mostly the good!

➳ What advice would you offer to other couples planning a Wedding? Enjoy your day and don’t be a Bridezilla, you will have so much more fun if you’re laid back and let everything fall into place.

➳ Any stand out vendors for the day? Someone that went above and beyond? I'd have to say Lindy (photographer) and Lucia from The Four Elements and also Jo from Naturelle Floral Design.
